Akin's Natural Foods Ordering Information

Our Ordering Policies and Procedures are described below. To view specific information, click on the short cut link below. If all of your questions are not answered here, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.

Pickup Policy
In most circumstances, we will process your order within 24 hours of receipt. We will package all items available from our shelf and charge your credit card for the amount of the items plus applicable sales tax. (For more information about our Credit Card policy, please scroll down.) We will send you an e-mail confirmation that your order is ready for pick up. A copy of your Receipt or a photo ID may be required for pick up.

If we do not have some items on our shelf at the time of packaging, we will state which items are not available in our Confirmation to Pick Up e-mail. You may notify us via return e-mail or at the time of pick up if you would like us to Special Order the remaining items. Extra charges may be incurred in some cases.

If your order is not picked up within seven days of Notice for Pick Up, we will return the items to our shelf and credit your account.

Shipping/Delivery Options

All credit card orders will be processed and shipped within one business day.  Payments by any other method require clearing time prior to order shipping.  Out-of-stock items will be back ordered by request only.  We will not ship highly perishable items.  Certain grocery items are subject to dimensional charges.  All orders are shipped via United Parcel Service.  Shipping charges are estimated by the system, a customer service representative will contact you if charges are more than the estimate given at the time of order. You may select shipping priority during checkout.

 

Credit card orders that are shipped to a different address other than the Bill to address for the credit card will require additional verification and may take additional time for processing.

All APO and FPO orders will require additional shipping and handling to process USPS paperwork.  A $5.00 handling fee will be added at time of shipping.  Please specify delivery preference Regular Mail or Priority Service, this charge will also be added at time of shipping. 

With the exception of APO/FPO orders, all shipments must be shipped to a physical address not a post office box. 

 

While most items are shipped within 24 hours, some items may require 4-8 business days or longer to be shipped. If this should occur you will be notified by email of any delay.  We will notify you when the package has been shipped. If in the event an item that you ordered is out of stock or recently discontinued by the manufacturer, distributor or Akinís Natural Foods, you will be notified.


We do not offer International Shipping.

We do not ship to the State of California.

Poppy Seeds, regardless of brand, are limited to a quantity of one per order.

If you need to track your shipment, please refer to your Order Number on your order Receipt. Please call our store or send us e-mail with your request and we will respond with a status report as soon as possible.

Please note that all charges are stated in United States currency. All weights are stated in US measurements (1 US pound equals approximately 0.45 kg.)

Please Note: All online offers and prices are valid for online purchases only, and may be different from those in the catalog and in our retail stores.  We are not responsible for pricing or typographical errors, and may not be able to honor orders for items where the pricing is incorrect.

 

Manufacturers continually change product specifications.  While we try our best to keep product descriptions up to date, they do not necessarily reflect the latest information available from the manufacturer.  We are not responsible for incorrect or outdated product descriptions and/or images.

Sales Tax
State sales taxes are applied to all shipments within our home States (FL, KS, MO, NE and OK). Sales taxes are not applied to shipments for destinations outside these States. Sales taxes vary according to the category of item ordered and are calculated at the cash register. State tax is charged in accordance with the law and all tax collected is remitted directly to the State and is not kept by this Store. If you have a question about sales tax, please contact the store via e-mail, phone or at your next visit.

Payment Policy
Payment for orders will be made via your credit card upon picking and packing the order. Sales tax and shipping charges will be added if your order is being shipped to the address on your Order Confirmation. Your credit card will be charged on the day that your order is shipped. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order has been shipped and your credit card charged.

If your order is to be picked up at the store, we will charge your credit card at the time that the order has been packaged and ready for pickup. We will notify you via e-mail that your order is ready and that your credit card has been charged. If your order is not picked up within 14 days of Notice for Pickup, we will return the items to your shelf and credit your credit card for the amount of the order minus a $5.00 restocking charge.

Return Policy

Full refunds are provided for unopened products returned to the store in person or via a return shipment in saleable condition no later than 30 days from the date of purchase. A copy of your receipt is required with the product for a full refund. Refunds are not accepted on items returned more than 30 days from the date of purchase. 

 

Refunds may be provided for opened products returned to the store in person or via a return shipment no later than 30 days from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to deny a refund. A copy of your receipt is required for a refund. Returned opened products are subject to a $5.00 restocking fee. Refunds are not accepted on items returned more than 30 days from the date of purchase.

Credit Card Processing Policy
We work to protect the security of your information so that no part of your Credit Card can be read during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypting software. Credit Card payments are processed only when we have completed your order according to your instructions and have notified you that the order has been processed and your Credit Card has been charged.
